Facilities
The 3 cottages have a private garden with barbecue areas for use by guests and friends. The Faulds and The Syke bungalows each have a private half acre garden with a secluded patio and barbecue area. Guests are welcome to walk around the farm.There is a private tennis court and childrens play area adjacent to the cottages.
Fly fishing is available for an additional charge on our private 17 acre loch which is stocked with rainbow trout together with a natural stock of brownies. Details are available on request.
We are located close to the River Ettrick and to the queen of salmon rivers The Tweed.
Horse riding is available at a neighbouring farm. Both outdoor and indoor lessons can be booked. For guests who bring their own horses we can provide stabling and grazing on the farm. Please ask for details.
Close by is the eighteen hole Woll Golf Course and a separate golf driving range. There are 15 golf courses within half an hour of Ashkirk, made even more appealing with the Freedom of the Fairways deal offered by the Scottish Borders Tourist Board.
For Mountain biking enthusiasts there is the popular Glentress Mountain Biking centre, around 25 minutes from the farm. It has runs to suit all levels, including jumps and downhill routes for the more extreme mountain bikers.
Both on and off the farm the Scottish Borders has a range of Hill walking opportunities to suit all abilities and interests.
