Headshaw is an 850 acre working farm overlooking the valley of the river Ale a tributary of the river Teviot which flows into the river Tweed famous for its trout and salmon fishing. The main work of the farm is rearing sheep and cattle. Its award winning sheep breeds include Cheviot, Border Leicester and Blackface. Mixed crops are produced for animal feeding. The surrounding hills provide extensive hill grazing for sheep and cattle alike. Browse the picture gallery below for views of the farm and the surroundings.
